Many of us have very fond memories of our high school days playing sports or going to the game with friends to show our school spirit. We all have stories of those miraculous plays that won the big one or heart breaking plays that lost it.

Many of you are now parents and RivalBlitz.com understands how much parents want to see their children play sports. Away games are always hard to make for a variety of reasons such as time, energy, and travel expense. With gas prices near three dollars a gallon and rising it is even more difficult to make all the away games.

Some schools such a Lakeview, Klamath Union, Henley, and Gilchrist have their games broadcast on local radio stations. This luxury isn't afforded to the family members who don't live in the area. So RivalBlitz.com has come up with the idea to broadcast many of our smaller school games over the Internet, even visualizing the ultimate goal of broadcasting live video.

RivalBlitz.com was able to get started when ClearWire came to Klamath Falls the summer of 2006 giving us the wireless high speed Internet connection we needed. However, service is only available in Klamath Falls, Medford, Bend, Eugene, and Grants Pass. Most of our small high school games are not in the coverage area. Also ClearWire does not offer a high enough broadband rate to allow for live streaming video upload to our server.

In order to accomplish our goal of bringing our small high schools live streaming video of many of their games we have acquired a satellite high speed Internet system that allows us to broadcast live streaming video from any location. However, because this technology is new the costs associated in running the system is expensive. In order to finance this service, sponsors are being sought in the form of donations or advertising.
